In this writing, the author carries out a narrative reconstruction of some features of the life and work of the popular educator Marco Raúl Mejía. The text seeks to make a semblance of this teacher, popular educator, researcher and analyst of educational policies, a great reference in Latin American popular education, whose epistemology attends to a dynamic of pluridiversity that itself contains a categorical system developed throughout the author's life story. In his work, the reader can follow the struggles of this time, in dialogue with some demands that are present in the socio-educational, cultural and political plots in the training of new generations of educators and researchers.
