Communicative Instrumentalization of the Sustainable Development Goals in Pacific Alliance Companies

The article focuses on analyzing the communication and disclosure of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in companies from Pacific Alliance countries, considering communicative instrumentalization practices through SDG-washing. The authors address the relationship between the SDGs and SDG-washing theoretically and conceptually, and synthesize patterns in SDG-related information disclosure using a qualitative, critical research approach. The results show greenwashing strategies and SDG-washing practices in 90% of the companies analyzed.
