Philosophical Notes for Thinking about Critical Research-Creation
Main Article Content
This article asks about certain qualities that research-creation should possess, in its own conception, in order to be critical. In this regard, it discusses different relevant moments in Western thought in order to take up Luis Camnitzer’s elaboration from the so-called Latin American conceptualism, which departs from logical positivism. It also proposes that it may be necessary to free creation from “art.” Among other conclusions, the authors argue that critical research-creation should sustain criticality in both research and creation, and also, in the script that binds them.
