Emotions and Listening Spaces for Victims of the Colombian Armed Conflict

This article draws on the results of an academic practicum conducted within the Social Work program at Universidad Central (Bogotá) between 2023 and 2024. The practicum focused on the dynamics of the District Council for Peace, Reconciliation, Coexistence, and Conflict Transformation, an institutional space oriented toward listening to, acknowledging, and making visible the experiences of victims within the framework of the Colombian armed conflict. The author concludes by highlighting active listening as a transformative tool for strengthening social processes.
